This writer loves living in the historic North East region of England. She also loves the wider areas of Britain and has travelled widely in the world.
She lives with her husband and near her son in her beautiful
South Durham in a Victorian house in an historical
town and landscape all of which have featured in more than one of her novels.
She writes letters to her grandson who has bucked the family’s
literary trend and is researching for his PhD in science. She spends time with her son who is an historian with practical and creative inclinations. She also spends special
time in North London with her daughter Debora who is a food editor, a writer,
and an all-round good egg

Wendy sees herself as a novelist of ideas as well as story. Although her touch is light it is clear that her academic background in Sociology, Psychology and History also has some impact on her fiction.
After relishing and surviving academic
life, Bishop Auckland writer Wendy
Robertson has published more than twenty novels and two short story
collections and ran Bishop FM’s Writing Game for two years. More recently, as

she has run workshops on the Short

A prime time for her as the five years on and off Writer in
Residence at HMP Low Newton, encouraging a wide range of women to raise their
self-esteem and realise their personal and career potential through original

She also mentors new writers and speaks at writing workshops
and conferences. As a member of the
collective Room To Write Publishing she had now plunged into the creative
experience of independent publishing established to encourage new and existing writers
